I have moved my sewing services to my sustainable living blog, Verdant Toes. Please visit http://verdanttoes.wordpress.com for mending and alteration services and click on the Needle Craft tab. Thank you!
Fiber arts and sewing are very prominent in my family. I have been sewing since I was seven years old. My mother's mother was trained as a weaver in Visby, Sweden and my father's mother was a book binder in Göteborg, Sweden. My grandmothers were also expert knitters and crocheters. They passed their love of fiber arts along to me and after nearly two decades of sewing as a hobbyist I've decided to take it more seriously. For the past two years I've worked part time as an alterations seamstress for The Buckle and do various freelance projects. I am adept at sewing, mending, re-weaving, darning, crocheting, hardanger embroidery, repairing vintage garments, and costuming.
